From Castle Walls to Master Finishes
My love for historical buildings began in childhood. I grew up in Bavaria, Germany, where my playground was the world’s longest castle in Burghausen. By the age of twelve, I was living in a castle in Schwaben - a property that needed extensive restoration. Together with my mother, it became our responsibility to repaint the interiors and exteriors of the 60-room castle using traditional lime-based paints and large brushes.
This hands-on experience sparked a lifelong passion for transforming dull spaces into uplifting environments. It also gave me a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship - one that stayed with me through many chapters of life.
“Those early years taught me how to bring beauty back to life — not only with craftsmanship, but with care and presence.”
Years later, I moved countries, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanitarian and Community Studies, and led two cultural tours to Guatemala - a country I hold dear. In 2012, I returned to my craft and began painting professionally, working as a subcontractor on projects across Australia. I founded Precious Wall Finishes in 2020 to bring together everything I’d learned - from traditional European techniques to contemporary Australian experience.
In recent years, I returned to Europe to complete a Master Certification in Historical Painting Techniques, Gold Gilding, and Heritage Conservation in Munich, Germany. There, I trained in methods dating back to the Renaissance and Medieval eras - including making my own natural paints from pigment, egg tempera, rabbit skin glue, and traditional materials.
Today, I specialise in high-quality decorative and heritage work, from natural paints and lime plasters to 24ct gold gilding, verre églomisé, and traditional mural techniques. While I now live off-grid in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, my partner and I regularly travel for work and offer our services Australia-wide.

What Makes Precious Wall Finishes Unique
My work is a fusion of fine art, traditional craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the building’s soul. I treat every surface as a canvas — whether it’s a heritage home, a sacred wall, or a modern interior seeking something timeless.
My finishes are environmentally conscious, my colours are chosen with energy and emotion in mind, and every project is tailored to you.
Artistic Focus & Mission
“At the heart of my work is a deep reverence for beauty, craftsmanship and the timeless stories carried by old buildings. I believe in restoring what’s worthy, using materials that breathe, age gracefully, and nourish both people and place. My mission is to create spaces that feel soulful — alive with colour, texture and history.”
Whether restoring a heritage building or creating a custom artwork with ancient techniques, my intention remains the same — to bring timeless beauty and soul to every space.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear about your project.
